When Boston Legal was aired, the system wasn't closed down, and there were writers who (with the help of the EFF) managed to make very compelling scripts.

This episode actually covers my infamous "YOU PAID FOR THIS LAW, AND YOU DID NOT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR" position.

"YOU PAID FOR THIS LAW, AND YOU DID NOT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR" is how I respond to accusations of being a Free-Dumber.

People's rights, and freedoms, are effectively ignored these days. Nobody cares. Show that they've been ripped off, though, and they get mad! ;)

Scott....Boston Legal aired 2004 -2008. You stated the "system wasn't closed down." See, I thought it was closed down before then. Can you please elaborate?

Television networks and their regulators were only JUST noticing the internet as competition. As more people got their entertainment online, the demand for tv dropped.

The government, on the other hand, used it as a chance to implement POLICY through regulation and graft. CNN went from news source, to propaganda arm. It took a long time, but US news is CONTROLLED news. The last networks to hold onto the "traditional values", were starved out.

People don't seem to realize that it's all a closed system, and THEY helped "close" it.
