I cannot assess its impact, but I fail to see how legitimizing Facebook's actions, by using them as a publishing medium, helps. "Pearls before swine", comes to mind. It's really cheap. There's a free trial, and if you are a mobile developer, it is priceless. I can deploy a LAMP server in 2 minutes, and it's ready to build on.

That totally beats a shitload of apt-get, even if it is on heavy fiber.
