I hope I don't get in trouble when I point out that the definition given for Legal Tender is wrong. :/ (page 20)

Well, the definition is not incorrect. <<Legal Tender: A legal requirement to accept a certain currency to meet financial obligations>> That is not a false statement. It might be vague, but when it reads "This note is legal tender ..." THEN it has a different connotation. "Legal Tender" is not the same as "This note is Legal Tender."

I see "requirement" as the problem. It's an OFFER, and I have one remaining unalienable right left; the RIGHT to NOT CONTRACT. :/

hmmmm....interesting. the Rai Stones are still used among the Yapese for large transactions, but they transact daily stuff in USD. It makes me wonder how the Bank of Canada got a Rai Stone. :-/

Here's the hidden-n-plain-sight thing that all of you miss. Crypto currencies are MONEY OF ACCOUNT AND MONEY OF EXCHANGE at the SAME TIME! THAT'S why you don't need a bank!

Is it? Look at how the mechanics of money itself changes, as the result! THAT is the part you miss. That is the part the banks miss, and that is the part the GOVERNMENT misses. If you don't miss it, you own the future.

Chris Evan, when you look at the mechanics of money of the current system, money, and it's various forms, are split into different ways that you may store, transfer, and/or use that money, and it's not all connected. This creates extreme inefficiencies, both in time and cost, among many others. You can do everything a bank does now, and MORE with the Bitcoin protocol. The current bank system is LITERALLY a decaying corpse. Bitcoin is by far a BETTER form of money. Remember for the FIRST TIME in the history of mankind, you may anonymously, and safely transfer VALUE to ANYWHERE in the world in the matter of seconds, or minutes. Bitcoin is a unified protocol for transmitting VALUE. Not only any amount, from micro-payments to billions, but you may send ANYTHING OF VALUE, without governmental, and/or banking interference, like cars, houses, contracts, arbitration, anything of VALUE, etc. The possibilities are limitless.

So Bitcoin is money, money of account, money of exchange, a currency, an asset, and in a way a form of investment, even thou we know currencies are not investments. All that PLUS, much more. That is why the BETTER form of money will win, at the end. Which is not that far.
