This thread is awesome. Maybe this was self evident but another part of it is because the right answer is the right answer and it doesn't matter who says it, 2+2=4.
I think another big part of what Pete is saying about not lying anymore is to look at just how fucking terrible people are at realizing when they're even doing it! I see it everywhere now. This alone helps me be aware of when I don't know something.
