I think I should bring a Birth Cert... It's the original document that all ID comes from but doesn't necessarily imply that I'm acting as the person...

It won't be much use if I get in there and they say "We can't accept this affidavit as it is not legally recognised" or some shite like that. Obviously I can read it out on the spot then. It was my understanding that an affidavit should be witnessed by a practising solicitor...

Can you sign an Affidavit as Sole Authorized Administrator? It seems only a LEGAL PERSON can swear an affidavit and you are not a legal person, you only have that legal person

By what aut authority do they refuse your submission? You can submit a fucking napkin, if you want! They can't refuse you, really. Get their name, and submit by registered mail, that they refused your submission (include the submission) and therefore consider the matter closed.

No need for a commissioner of oaths then? Just send it off for the file?

Notarizing fulfills the function you seek. I'm really not sure what you are asking/doing

Its regarding the speeding fine that I issued a completed bill of exchange for but have now been summoned for. I wish to submit an affidavit to the court file outlining the facts thus far complete with exhibits. I didn't know if it needed to be witnessed by a solicitor or not...

The witnessing is ONLY for signing. They serve no other purpose. They witnessed you sign it. Period. That's all a notary does.

Eamonn , what was the last document you sent the court? Final notice, instructing them to adjust the accounting accordingly?
