FCC Title 2 of the Telecommunications Act. > Title II Common carriers "At the crux of the debate over Net neutrality is Title II of the Telecommunications Act. The section, which is more than 100 pages long, regulates how common carriers must conduct business across all forms of communication in order to act "in the public interest." Net neutrality supporters say that the language is vague and could be used to sidestep a free and open Internet and give ISPs the opportunity to sign deals with Internet companies that would provide for prioritization of traffic. Obama, however, said that the FCC should limit some of the regulation relating to rates and "other provisions less relevant to broadband," creating potential wiggle room for further debate on the limitations." http://www.cnet.com/news/president-obama-calls-on-fcc-to-keep-internet-free-and-open/

Stage 3, The Build-up? "Rousing and sustaining the interest of the victim, introducing the scheme to him, rousing his greed, showing him the chance of profit and filling him with so much anticipation and cupidity that his judgment is warped and his caution thrown away." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence_trick

"if he wants it to work for every one then make it free"... ...Wow. That has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read. Can YOU build a "free" communications network? No? Well "magick ObAma PowErZ" won't suddenly deploy Packet Fairies to flitter about, delivering routing for free. Who do you think will pay for this "free" service?

Benefits that "appear" to be "free" will cost elsewhere, and usually more. In a cost/benefit scenario, which is more valuable and to whom? To the mule that pulls the cart, the carrot may seem to be a benefit. To the farmer the carrot is a small price to pay to move the cart of carrots to market. The mule if wild could be grazing and not work nearly as hard. If there farmer had no beast of burden to pull said cart, would require a more expensive way to get his product to market or fail. NO GOV "benefit" IS FREE!!!

Government didn't build the Internet; Private industry did. The internet CANNOT be made a "public utility" without stealing from the people who actually BUILT it. Before you say "Duh, it wuz duh milutarie! `Murikuh!", I would like to preemptively invite you to eat a dick. Learn about the technology you use: http://youtu.be/9hIQjrMHTv4

The graphics helped a lot. When I read something technical without graphics, is harder for me to construct it in my mind. I had read about what is the Internet, but without graphics, it's harder for me to grasp.

The "Field of Dreams" movie's slogan... "Build it and they will come" seems rather applicable... ANYTHING created by humans with government coming to the "rescue" (for our own good) with their rubber stamps (sorry Pete), rules and regulations so they may "protect us from ourselves". I must acclaim, I was not going to poke my eye out with this internet thingy. Please do not shoot me.
