Tear up your bill of exchange. Telus has sold the bill to the collection agency. All you have to do now is politely inform the collections people that you would be MORE than happy to settle this matter, right away, just as soon as they produce a signed copy of your contract with THEM :D

No, when a debt is "sent" to collections, it means they've sold it. The collections people have purchased that debt from Telus. Thing is, you never signed anything stating that you agreed to pay this third-party company. They use threats and intimidation to bully people into paying, because they are aware that you don't actually have any obligation to them. Tell them to produce the contract, and you'll happily resolve this issue.

Ok Liam Villemaire, please continue in here, not in private.... You don't need to talk on the phone with them.... Just send them a registered mail letter, saying that as soon as they send you an INVOICE, stating what product/services you may have bought from them, you will gladly approve that invoice, and send them a cheque. That's ALL there is....stick to this, and inform them that for ANY fraudulent negative mark on LIAM's credit score, a charge 0f $100,000.00 will be sent to them. Do NOT talk to them on the phone.....if there's NO invoice, it means NOTHING has been bought, so no PAYMENT can be made.....
