Alright, It seems the piece of paper - which is the check - does fit the definition of income as a "return in money from one's labor". If you claim otherwise, please provide proof to support your statements.
The only possibility would then seem to be that writing FOR DEPOSIT ONLY is what makes it NOT INCOME...
I just try to figure out why he's right... Sorry if I dont blindly believe ;)
