You have the right NOT TO CONTRACT. If it is a PRIVATE CORPORATION, they don't have the right to PRESUME contract.
As for the cunt claiming "30 years experience in law"; Tell her I called her a Lying Cunt, and I will gladly do so HERE.
INVITE HER TO THE GROUP. TELL HER IT'S REVERSE ONUS; She should have NO expectation of being treated as anything but lying vermin, unless she can prove otherwise.
She is LYING. Tell her I said so.
IN FACT I EXTEND THAT TO EVERY LAWYER WHO DARES TRY TO SPREAD ANY LIES ABOUT THE FACTS I TEACH HERE.
I figure dissecting 3 of you in 1000-post threads, will be enough to convince everyone reading that it's ok to kill you en masse.
According to her she said if you send this package back , writing on it no Consent No contract , you are engaging with this company and acknowledging them...isn't legal maxims he who does not deny .admits..? So sending back there application is the right thing to do...
Brian Owens, you sure it's a Private Company? The State set up the company. I know that the Government have explicitly stated that Irish Water will remain within public ownership. That is not to say that 5-10 years down the line it will become Private. So what do you do now Scott Duncan if you already sent the package back? Pray?
Lee it's a private company..its plastered all over everyone of there website pages..they've mentioned it in radio interviews and phone calls...its a PRIVATE COMPANY
I noticed that it said Private on their site. I emailed them and this is what they said:

to me
Dear Mr Edgely,
Thank you for your email regarding Irish Water.
Irish Water is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord Gis ireann which itself is owned by the Irish State. Irish Water is a separate subsidiary within Bord Gis ireann. The Government have explicitly stated that Irish Water will remain within public ownership. There is no intention to privatise water services. The investment in the water sector is key to our countrys strategic interests and legislation will restate the existing prohibition on the privatisation of water assets. The sale of Bord Gis Energy will have no impact on the public ownership of Irish Water.
Irish Water is the new national water utility that will have responsibility for the delivery of water and wastewater services to homes and businesses.
I hope this information is helpful.
Yours sincerely,
William Preston

Belief is evil, I no they will say anything to get everyone to sign this contract I've read the contract it's bullshit , they already calculated how many fools would sign up from the media manipulation and lies they've told ..so the 5/10% who didn't BELIEVE there lies don't get raped..
I will not be getting a meter, I'm in a private housing estate. Should I administrate a bill if one comes in? as it will be an estimate of water usage or standing charge.
Hey, my 80 year old dad opened the "Your Irish Water Application Form" that he received to his home last week and threw the envelope in the bin. Can I still send, 'ABANDONED PROPERTY RETURN TO RIGHTFUL OWNER and / or SENDER' in the return envelope Irish Water enclosed, back to Irish water? Is there another method to negate CONTRACTUAL JOINDER since I don't have the original envelope? Thanks
