Why not send it. Of course there is a priority reason for doing so and I hope it does get your friend out. But even just to fuck with them would be a good enough reason yes? To let them know we are onto the game.

But if Jacques is in jail right now... Wouldn't it mean he ALREADY ASSUMED / ACCEPTED / TOOK the role of SURETY for "Even though I Claim No Surety Well Sorry Whatever Jack" ???

I'm playing flipside here : My point is, once you sign for something, you have a contract to honour :( if he contracted for XX months in a prison, XX months he should expect to serve... All mistakes should serve as a lesson... If I were him, I'd rather try to escape and play the SURETY card once I'm caught back outside, if ever...

Will Bed...."All mistakes should serve as a lesson" : That might be true in a church, but in this legal world, "All mistakes should be forgiven, if notified and forgiveness is wished" :P :D

why not give the surety for the person to settle the sentence so he can stop paying with his body?

He is convinced, that WE are all sureties, and they are just making FALSE claims against us......I am still trying to figure that one out, but maybe Dean Clifford has a special power of some sort, to UNDERSTAND this... :(

Didnt he make a mistake of accepting surety, just like your hypothetical friend would have made the same mistake so they would both have ended up in a cage, by mistake ? It seems to me once you accept SURETY for the PERSON, you cannot un-accept SURETY... Or can you ??

If you KNEW you were ACCEPTING surety, it's certainly NOT a mistake, but if you have NO IDEA of its existence, and are completely IGNORANT of the FACTS.....that's a whole other story :)
