Don't send a notice of Mistake. Just ask if you have the right to the surety/security of the person. And if they can disclose all means of settling/discharging this public debt. Ask by registered mail. I actually don't know anything about Holland so this might not be applicable.

I'm pretty new around here and still haven't implemented what's been taught here. Someone like Pete will be of more help. Be warned though there is little tolerance for folks who don't read and learn.

I've seen petes posts ... He's formidable and awesome ... Surety and all means to pay the public debt (are tax back mistakes public debt? Or just stupid?) are the only things I can think of ... Also I didn't see much in here about other countries and I'd love to find some more Dutch students in here who might be able to help

Just ASK them, if you, as the sole administrator for the person, can use the SURETY of the person, to discharge that debt, sent to the person.

Deny there was a "mistake" and demand PROOF of the mistake they are claiming.

I have a million of them. If they PROVE their "mistake", bill them for "administration". ;)

I just got billed 50 extra euro for failing to respond to another public debt ... this time it's only 254 euro for compulsory health insurance that can't be paid from a zero bank account ... which is trying to be collecting by the debt collectors. The only reason why i waited is because i need a translation into dutch language. Today at the free legal advice office i confused two lovely people with - sole authorized administrator ... and surety. I still don't have a translation for "surety" and those guys were confused but they listened very carefully as i explained that i was not that person!

I'm posting the first of my dealings with compulsory healthcare here in holland ... They sold the debt to debt collectors. Let them eat cake. This is posted for educational purposes only as requested by another Dutch administrator I know. Hope it's good to go now? I try to be reasonable.
