That's highly unlikely, but a crafty man could infect your phone with a back door access trojan which could allow them to enable or disable just about anything. In this case, it is highly improbable that your phone has been compromised in this way and it's probably just a glitch you are experiencing. I recommend backing up your data, and uninstalling and installing the total recall software again.

My cell phone had full battery. After the movie, the cell phone was dead. 20 minutes later, I was pulled over with emergency lights. No recording device available besides cell phone, which didn't work. I was harassed, threatened, and assaulted by two policy enforcers and THEY told my guest he could go inside. Virgin mobile says it is not possible for the cell phone to be affected from outside of their service without a warrant and such. My cell phone is fucked and I have nothing but serious troubles the last few months. Improbable my ass!

It's possible but highly unlikely. Sounds like you got yourself a shitty old phone. You know, batteries don't last forever and neither does the hardware. They literally build them to break down. It's called planned obsolescence which helps the corrupted corporations create cyclic consumption. That's a lot of C words but basically, it insures that customers continue buying their shitty phones every year or two. I'm guessing you're phone is a piece of shit and you got pulled over by assholes. Again, I'm just taking a stab in the dark here. If you've had your phone for around one year, you can almost bet on it breaking down soon. The next time your phone doesn't hold a charge, have a back up on hand.

PBX=Private Branch eXchange. It is a stand-alone phone network. And having a back-up analogue recorder is essential. They can't hack old-school. :D

Yes. Asterisk is the best PBX as it complies with ALL standards, and has a really awesome protocol call IAX (Inter-Asterisk eXchange) that allows you to connect PBX's in its own overlay network. MagicJack built its entire product on it.

No. In fact if you have a broadband connection, and a spare PC, I can walk you through it over the phone, if your girl-brain gets in the way. EVEN A CHICK can do this! :P

You DO need phones to connect to it. Soft-phones are EVERYWHERE. You can even make your smart phone an extension.

To connect your PBX you need a DID broker to connect you to the PUBLIC phone network. They cost about $7.00 a month.
