I had no idea it was a scheme until the end when the clients suddenly didnt get anymore returns and all was coming to light. What you see in the link from CBC was not accurate as I have from my own pocket paid back some clients including that sad story of this man that passed away. From One World united i made $700,000 over 4 years.

i contacted one world united accountant numerous times and specifically asked him if all these loses were legit and documented. his answers were "yes everything single dollar is documented on the books and not to worry".

Yes, I am a sales person that is all I really know. I would in MOST cases after an interview send clients home 2 to 4 times and more if I thought they did not understand it after I showed them, and if they wanted to invest, not only with Jeff's deal but with ALL the investments on the table (often 3 to 5 investments at time). I can have out to 150 clients that will say the same thing. They often got upset at needing to come back...but that's the way I did my business and they kept coming....

I knew what I was selling, and it could very well be that the investors will get their money back. It wasn't what I was selling that brought CRA down it was that the company didn't show a profit and we hope it will, then CRA will want us all to pay the tax. It was that CRA was not happy that we all got to write-off the expenses which the accountant verified, each dollar.

The company had, has a loyalty program that would help business get and keep customers and give them a 10% discount when they bought from them and when they would tell others and or refer friends then they the referrers would also get cash on their Loyalty Card etc. Or they could put it on Facebook as an example, a little like advertising but at a LOT less money....this is a simple explanation.
