There are many reasons for this, but the primary motivation is that is just a stupid pointless thing to do.
I do like seeing worthless overpaid assholes beat the shit out of each other on hockey rinks, though. I don't indulge in watching that much, because the fights are always interrupted by the stupid, pointless hockey game.
