I'm currently administrating the probate process for my mother's will. I needed info from the deed to the property from the solicitor. He e-mailed me stating that my mother held a 99 yr lease that was originally started in 1973. I had to think twice for a second but then realised of course, if the property is registered it's registered to the PERSON thus granting it to the government...
