These machines were once INVESTMENTS and the cables were expensive. If you had spares, they were gold.

It's hard to break out of that mindset, even IF you can get any cable in the industry, from Belkin for less than 20 bucks and have a $900 hard disk replaced with a larger/faster one for less than $200. Things moved slow back then.

I can get a 120 gb drive for 30 bucks today. My FIRST 120 gb drive was $500. I had 5 of them.
