It's just a scare tactic. "Bailiffs" have been to my door with fraudulent documents claiming they were issued by the local sheriff court. I took them to the police and the police told them to stay away, that was over a year ago. If anyone comes to your door with a warrant, make sure it has the following 1. The court Coat of Arms at the top. 2. The name of the Sheriff who issued it. 3. A wet ink signature of said Sheriff (not a facsimile)4. The date. 5. The Court Seal. If it does not have these it is not valid. The assholes will make up false documents as did the "bailiffs" at my door. There has to have been a court hearing under due process to issue a warrant.

Yeah I was aware it was a scare tactic but I might incure extra costs for a "dog handler" ffs! I pay all my bills except my tv licence, out of principle. I have a big issue with the price of gas/electric (don't we all) but 1 mth late on a gas payment and they've applied for a warrant of entry with the purpose of installing a pre paid meter, that I don't want because they're a complete scam! Where the fuck do these guys get off on this? They've applied for fuck all! I wonder if there is a way I can find out if they're talking porkies and then take them to the fing cleaners?

Oh, if there is a court hearing I would have to be informed and I could attend, right?

Do what I did. The Bailiff threw a paper at me claiming it was a charge for payment from the court. I wrote to the court and asked for all outstanding judgments against my name so I could settle them. There was none. Check Mate !

They can't do anything without a bonafide court order (court order being an umbrella term).

I just can't see why I never got a nice letter or a polite phone call informing me that I'd fallen a bit behind and then I could arrange payment with them without all this threats with locksmiths and setting the dogs on me .. I'm a civil guy ffs. No this is war now!
