Anyone who gives a shit about the "gold standard" has never watched the "required viewing". Watch MONEY AS DEBT 3. This is covered there. YOU tell ME why the gold standard is worthless. This is why it's REQUIRED VIEWING! http://youtu.be/3P7izAUe3ZM

Gold is a particular annoyance of mine , I'm sick of hearing how it's value sky rockets and it's the best thing since sliced bread. Sliced bread as it turns out has more intrinsic value , the irony. Gold has NOT sky rocketed in price, your money IS just worth less. If/when money collapses lets see what good your room of gold does you compared to my room full of food, you may even like to exchange me some on whatever day you would like me to laugh in your face the most :D

Carl, I have made the SAME points to people, but ALL the Constitutionalists over here are completely brainwashed. Even if that was a good idea, and hear this out, WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO FIND AL OF THIS GOLD??? These people are in LA-LA land with this crap

It's because they have been thought to idolize it since birth , heard numerous stories of this person or that making a fortune off it. They become blinded by that and can't except that YES you can make a fortune of gold buying and selling. But that's all conditional on money staying the way it is and it's fluctuations making it possible. Let them learn the hard way and when they finally learn give them an apple for all their gold just to rub it in ;)

Look into diamonds. It's FUCKING CARBON. DeBeers INVENTED the "value" through social engineering. For VERY little, I can buy a diamond-tipped drill, yet you set it in a ring, and the same diamond is worth $100,000? IT'S FUCKING CARBON!

Its standard "oooo, look shiny" disease. Most Americans have it. If you want to sell something down here, make it shiny!

the storage of food is limited. precious metals are nearly 100% recoverable. the 'value' is therefore moreso within its lack of volitility and ease of disguise. all of the kitchen cabinet door/drawer pulls are made of silver plated in copper/nickle/crome. nobody would ever think of stealing/confiscating those. the 'safe' is the deception. try that with an apple.

The value is in the FACT you were told it is valuable and BELIEVED IT nothing else. Let me see you digest a " cabinet door/drawer" and see if that doesn't change your opinion.

That's good to know but is irrelevant to the discussion of golds "value" and does nothing to further your position :P... The shit is only worth what you believe it to be , it has NO intrinsic value . Every skill mentioned makes you much more valuable than the shinney rock :D

yes, but i can base my time relative to it's perceived value and use it to avoid the legal system. all my clients have to agree that they compensate me for my time in silver, not 'dollars'.

bitcoin are only portable with working mobile technology. and such a device needs to be inductively powered (without batteries). should also update through the exchange AND not be detectable by survelance methods for total privacy.
