It's a Winston Shrout concept: the signature on a document is the document's signature....YOU didn't put the picture on the licence, or the signature...some 3rd party did that...then they're claiming it's you, or more accurately, allowing you to claim it's you...which creates a controversy
The picture & signature & thumbprint etc all belong to the licence...
Just like the photos of Anna Nicole Smith in Playboy are playboy's pics :P
