Legal applies to act's and statutes and lawful applies to person's based on natural law.. IE: do no harm.?

my understanding of legal & law... law is simple logical, a maxim with clear intent & purpose, Bring that simple clear truth/fact to a wordsmith & he'll interpret it into 10,000 words of confusion to suite a specific need.... a statute lol
