but it's CATCH 22, For Pete Daoust : A catch-22 is a paradoxical situation in which an individual cannot or is incapable of avoiding a problem because of contradictory constraints or rules.[1] Often these situations are such that solving one part of a problem only creates another problem, which ultimately leads back to the original problem. Catch-22s often result from rules, regulations, or procedures that an individual is subject to but has no control over. An example could be someone locking their keys in their vehicle. The keys are needed to unlock the door, but the keys are inside the locked vehicle. ( wikipedia)

it's a decent movie and book too... done in about "69 about a guy ( Alan Arkin) who is a bomber pilot stationed in north africa in WW2.. who wants out of duty.. but because he is sane enough to want out of duty, they keep him in...

nobody can answer those questions for you lads, Those values must be inherent, they must shine out of you. I lost everything... cough... fuckin everything lol, i live very modestly now, while many around me have pity in their eyes when they consider the "percieved" loss/fall i've had. I am the only man i know that doesn't moan about money or circumstances. I dont allow others pollute me any more with their self inflicted problems, thats not malicious, just survival for the time being, no radio, TV or newspapers, i enjoy the simple & free,.... actually i value it ;)

Suil....no disrespect whatsoever, but i am sure no one has found this path living on the lap of luxury. I suspect I lost about the same as u. ....EVERYTHING. And I had what most would consider a lot. The only thing I escaped with was the roof over my head. I had a very successful business, a beautiful girlfriend (she had 2 awesome kids), a [what seemed like a] nice family, a boat, I had nice stuff, vacations, money, etc....95% of that is gone....HISTORY. I found myself alone with nothing. Wanna know who took it???? The United States. Through Income Taxes, Registration Fees, Licensing Fees, Sales Tax....and the kicker that did me in....INFLATION. Then the market crashed and my customers chose saving money over quality....WHATEVER. I now live very HAPPILY and CONTENT. But angry at the system that I BOUGHT INTO that left me as it did. I also live under the same POV you do now....i am very content with what I have. To further my point, I really don't have many friends since I've found this path. Most don't understand it. Some do......it is what it is. I understand your point of finding this inside ourselves.....I know what I am, and what I can do. It is very difficult to communicate that on a virtuously anonymous page though. I personally am looking for MORE answers. I know the path has to be walked individually, but I think that is the nature of the post as I have taken it to mean is "Scott, you seem to have something I want. How do I attain that? Am I on the right path? What is your feedback?" And that is it. Please...if anyone on this page HASN'T been beaten by the system we were taught to embrace, correct me!!!! Better yet, share your story as Suil and I have......

I was living in a 1979 motorhome, with my meagre possessions in Storage... went bankrupt like 30 years ago never really re-covered... Have had to live within my means and be liable for my actions for a long time... so liening my all caps name was not a big deal to me... as I carry what I need with me...

The system tried hard to beat me, but lucky as I am, I've decided to fight and not hire a lawyer....that is the BEST decision I've made....I've decided to learn and fight, and so far, after 3.5 years of fighting, I feel like I'm winning this fight, and I now have so many options that I can feel that freedom not so far from me... I am a fighter and will keep fighting untill I will be left alone....
