Could it be the case that you are already presumed a ward & the warrant orders those "responsible" for you to act, therefore its paper being passed over your head after the fact?

from what I understand your lawyer can see it, but if you self represent then you are entitled see it. But what is the big deal about getting a copy of it. Even just getting to see it seem to be a big deal. When they make a big fuss over something, there is usually something behind it. I am trying to figure out what.

because they know it's a certified copy and you can make it a new original and void it out with red and now it's the new original

at the point of the warrant being issued you are already considered a ward, the process where you had opportunity to correct this has passed, you have entitlements guarded by law up to that point. I could be wrong but i believe the issue/non issue of documents is purely administrative

thats why they treat us like that Frisbey ;) anyone with a solicitor or has been "committed" is a ward, not capable of understanding their circumstances.... if you realise its a mistake that takes away the purpose of punishment. committal (k-mtl) n. 1. The act of entrusting: committal of the property to an attorney. 2. The act or an instance of committing to confinement. 3. The act of pledging oneself to a particular view or position:

Warrant of committal allows a judge to give an order to a person after they have failed to comply with a court order from a previous judgement... This would lead me to believe they already have jurisdiction. As Suil said you are now a ward of the court and if you have a lawyer then he/she is agent for the person so all documents go to them...

I know that either way once you have a warrant of committal that you are surety or trustee, however I want to look at. All I want to do is to see if there actually is one and to find out if the justice was under his oath to actually issue the warrant. The justice that the old man started out with originally died, then they got another justice for the next appearance and the last one was taken out of retirement to sentence the old man.

If you are considered a party, then you must be able to receive a copy...if you're not able to, then you can't be a party. That's my take on it, so if that logic is correct, I would put them in a double bind: give me a certified copy if you are claiming I'm a party (and then get the magic RED VOID stamp out) OR If I'm NOT a party, by what authority are you doing (whatever it is that they are doing) and if I'm not a party then leave me the hell alone! If I'm already considered a defendant or (insert legal fiction name here), then that would be a mistake, so please forgive me (and hit them with a Notice of Mistake) The oracle Scott Duncan will be able to phrase it far more eloquently than that ;-)
