Something that just clicked in my head. I know, I am slow. The concept of Being a "FREE Man" is basically saying that you are on your own. There is NO ALLEGIANCE with another for the sake of protection from forces coming at you. Now that I think about it I would prefer to have some obligation to another to help assist me in protecting what is mine. It just becomes a matter of CHOOSING the right ALLEGIANCE.
