well, first you get them in default for the proof in commerce that YOU have more of a right to somthing than whomever it is that has it, and then you publish the lein by notary and apostile, and have the sherrif serve them with a collection of said property, if that property is 'dollars', then those are transfereed between accounts, so it is much easier to try to sell the lien at a loss to a bank or insurance company by using the old tried and true method of entrapment by greed.
you offer someone who gets 10% a deal that net's them a years pay and they will greedily do their best to accomodate your offer.

when you cant get him to produce the gold, you have a way to lein everything he owns of value in collection. sort of like an inverted bankruptcy, instead of that party claiming bankruptcy, you cause it to happen by lawfully taking physical posession of everything you can. if it is only on paper, you try trading that to a bank or other institution that trades paper notes.
the ultimate goal is to have it go into somewhare that you have access to being able to convert it form a note into physical silver/gold, because then you can claim it got lost at sea.

ok, the title to your auto says on the last line "subject to a security interest" so you go look that up (security interest), and then you look up how to perfect a security interest (simply make it known). the KEEP OFF THE GRASS sign IS a notice which perfects a security interest, ALSO the TAG or plate you attach to the auto IS the public notice of the security interest.

Also in Alberta, To lien property is a different agent, than a ppsa. With A ppsa you can go to any registries location (privatized)( ALL CAPS NAME). For Property one must go to Land Titles.
