I posted an article similar to this in the original Bitcoin thread here. The banks see bitcoin/litecoin and/or any other crypto currencies as a direct threat to their system. They are manipulating it in such a way as to discredit it as the true alternative medium of exchange that it is! There was an article also hinting at the possibility of asset backed crypto currencies there too...

What actually happened was that it INSTANTLY snapped back to it's real market value, because no matter how much pump-and-dump you do, math is still math. 2+2=4 when pumping, and 2+2=4 when dumping. Bitcoin doesn't care. There's no CEO fighting for the shareholders and the company's reputation.

So far Scott when I think of it I see bitcoin the same as POKER CHIPS.....you can use them in casinos that issued them, or exchange them at the casino's door....I know one guy who does that by the way......he buys lots of these casino chips and sell them at the door and give a 5% discount on them.....I think I KNOW now why he is doing this.....
