I wish I had have known this a few months ago; even though, when stopped by the police, I had advised them that they had no authority over me, referring them to Pt2, s8, ss3, 4 & 5 of the Corporations(Qld) Act, to which the police denied having any knowledge of that act and proceeded to arrest me for an alleged non-victim offence. I was incarcerated for 6 hours. I have yet to appear before a court.
this is similar to when you are stopped by a police officer and you demand to know what authority he is under...AND then this cop pull out his 9mm and put it against your head and say: THAT AUTHORITY IDIOT....:D
@Jinny. Here in Australia, law enforcement employees, including police, do not have bond ins, but are covered by employer, inc gvt, provided 'Public Liability Ins'.
here in Quebec you don't ask Bond Insurance to cops....unless you are ready to get shot, or beaten, you just don't do that :D ...if you get a VERY NICE cop, he will ignore you....
If you are a peace officer Than you should have a public bond. If not than you are working in the private right? with no authority...It would be like someone working for Walmart to arrest you or give you a ticket? Do any of you know of what is equivalent to Risk Management or the DOT?
I see 2 options with cops:
1). You give them what they want and you shut up
2). You get ready to enter a REAL TIME fight and you have NO IDEA how it will end up, but all odds are against you...
Our Federal, State and Territorial Govts are corporatised and registered with the USSEC, with registered office in Washington DC. For all intents and purposes they are private corporations and not Govts of the ppl.
The Police, here, only have authority over those who are either Officers of,
Employed by,
In contract with or
Agents of the Police for non-victim offences.
However, the Police here are either unaware of the Corporations Act or just choose to ignore it in the hope that the [natural] person with whom they are addressing is ignorant of that Act.
164. Fair hearing
(4) Without limiting the generality of subsection (3), that subsection does not preserve the validity of the proceeding if the failure to comply with the agreement results in PREJUDICE to the DEFENDANT'S RIGHT to a FAIR HEARING.
