'blessing' was not used in a faith/religion context...more in a 'maybe you didn't know that leaving school had longer term positive consequences when you made that decision'...less deprogramming, gaining independence sooner, forced responsibility...who knows?!?
For me, further education had a bunch of positives, but looking back now, it's also quite obvious to see the hamster in a wheel/don't question authority type programming that goes along with it...that's one of the truths that I'm now facing up to
